Wildcats Academy, based in Castle House, Stamford have got the Easter holidays off to a great start this week with a 2 day STOMP Musical workshop.

The 2 day workshop, which focused on creating music using various objects was led by Wildcat Teachers Adam Pallister and Kieran Hancock.  Both musicians themselves they taught the children basics of rhythm, composition and linking music and movement - all working towards a video which will be available on You-Tube.

Wildcats have also been running other activities this week - on Tuesday they led a Gruffalo workshop for younger children, and also a session based on the book 'Room on a Broom'.  Children were able to recreate the stories through acting and also learn songs and dance routines too.

Caz Dolby of Wildcats said 'Its always good fun when the holiday programmes come round as we are able to deliver lots of fun activities for local children.  The STOMP workshop gave children the chance to learn musical composition whilst the Gruffalo introduced younger children to drama and singing activities.'

Next week there are a number of holiday programmes running - on Monday 8th April there is an Angelina ballerina day, Tuesday is Footloose and Flashdance, Wednesday is Pop Party and Thursday is an Easter Party.  On Friday 12th April there is a special one off High School Musical workshop where children get to learn the routines, dress up as cheerleaders and learn script from the famous High School Musical films.
