Award winning Wildcats Theatre School, based in Stamford have just launched ‘Wildcats Kids Management’ – a new casting agency for children and young people in the local area who wish to get their first step on the ladder of performing professionally in TV and Theatre.

The agency will have space for 50 children aged 5-18 years who wish to register, and this week Wildcats has been given approval for the agency to directly enter children into ‘Spotlight’ – a national database of children and young performers. Spotlight is the UK's most popular professional casting directory and has been promoting performers to casting opportunities since 1927. Only performers with recognised training or experience can join Spotlight and it is the first choice for anyone casting a professional TV, Film, Stage, Radio or Commercial Production. Part of the package will include representation in the Spotlight directory online and in print.

This development also co-insides with the opening of two new areas for Wildcat classes. After Easter classes in Bourne and Market Deeping will commence, giving more children the opportunity to learn the magic of Musical Theatre, take LAMDA examinations and become part of the fun that is Wildcats.

Caz Dolby, Founder of Wildcats said "This new part of Wildcats will enable our most talented children to apply for auditions and castings for a variety of different roles on stage and screen. It will also give them experience in the professional aspect of performing arts, and develop their skills further for their future careers or academic choices. Inclusion in the ‘Spotlight’ publication and website will mean their portfolio is seen by top casting professionals. We hope that this is the first step to seeing local talented children performing professionally’

Children who are members of Wildcats will automatically be offered the chance of representation. Any other interested children should contact admin@wildcats-uk.com.
